Let’s go to Beirut, Lebanon! Donned the Hollywood of the Middle East, Beirut is one hip trendy place you should visit. Below are some of the highlights of the places that I picked for the best of Beirut.
Bartartine- Mar Mkhayel
I picked Bartartine Cafe because they specialize in French baking. Before I arrived, I knew I wanted something with cheese and bacon. When I saw the Croque-Monsieur, I instantly chose it, but not without adding bacon to the mix. The Lebanese love their cheese and so do I. Swiss cheese, ham, and bacon served with a side salad, made for good eats. An obligatory latte made the bill as well.

Feniqia-Byblos
Feniqia is in the heart of Byblos, a town that is settles near the Mediterranean. Nestled in the middle of old town Byblos, surrounded by cobblestone and old castle ruins. This restaurant boots you back into history. The Lebanese are known for their mixed grills ( various grilled meats) and drinking their national spirit Arak ( Anise flavored liquor). Who can pass up grilled meats and shots?? The mixed grill consist of chicken, beef, kofta, and various grilled veggies. In addition to coming out over hot coals, the display is amazing.
